In October 2013, we were invited to participate in Absolut Originality, a multi-disciplinary exhibition curated by Aisling Farinella for the launch of the Absolut Originality bottle.
Danielle Romeril collaborated with illustrator Chrissie Abbott, film-maker Jamie Delaney, Lightscape & Tom O' Dea and stylist/creative director Aisling Farinella and fashion designer Danielle Romeril to create two pieces which combined the work of everyone involved.
Danielle created two unique looks for the exhibition. The first look was featured on model Maria who starred in Jamie Delaney’s film. The film was combined with Chrissie Abbott’s hand-drawn mural, 2d and 3d animation to create a beautiful mulit-dimensional projection piece.
The second look was part of an interactive instillation where the viewer through their hand movements could control a 3D projection map of animation of patterns and textures onto Danielle’s piece.
Visitors to the space were invited to augment and remix the patterns by gesturing there hands over a leap motion sensor.
Each creation was then assigned an individual number and projected on to the wall of the venue, with more unique creations added every day.
